About The Role

Uber is looking for a sharp, results-oriented, analytical operations manager to join our Marketplace Intelligence team under LatAm Central Operations. The marketplace Intelligence team works to understand the strategy and performance of Uber through a combination of external and internal data. Uber operates in a diverse array of markets and product categories filled with rapidly-evolving challenging options; assessing the success or failure of a product or strategy depends on understanding this context. Doing this, and doing it well, is an interesting and difficult problem. The team uses its expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, economics, and business to build scalable data products and generate insights that drive our strategy and investment decisions. You will work closely with world-class Engineering teams, Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Global Operations, to build a state of the art product that impacts Uber's business and customers every step of the way.

What you'll do

Multifaceted market intelligence reports, quality control processes, and economic trends.
Drive data analyses to find opportunities to improve our pricing strategy and marketplace balance.
Design, coordinate and communicate market dynamics and pricing tactics to meet business objectives
Identify and coordinate projects with cross-functional teams to improve and scale processes and tools across all regions according to the overall pricing strategy
Build and maintain close relationships with local and global partners, assertively communicating and presenting ideas, findings and insights to assist and guide the decision making process
Centralization and automation. Define core analysis and processes and scale them across LatAm and beyond

What you'll need

3 or more years of Strategy Consulting, Engineering, Banking, Business Intelligence or similar background in a large business or growing a startup is encouraged, but we will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements.
In-depth knowledge of data structures along with having proficient business context.
Outstanding Analytical, problem-solving, Excel, and data leadership skills
Data-driven decision-making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking and experimentation
Proven experience interpreting and communicating data to various audiences; ability to translate quantitative findings into action plans
Ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment
Experience with dashboarding/data visualization (i.e. Tableau, Mixpanel, Looker, or similar)
Basic understanding of statistical techniques and ability to employ stats in solving business problems
Stellar SQL knowledge and a passion for data needed
Python, R, Spark, or any other scripting language is a plus
