Motorola Mobility is looking for a talented Product Designer (UX/UI) to join our User Experience Design team at Motorola Mobility. The User Experience Design group is responsible for creating digital experiences for the Motorola smartphone product line. From building the camera app interface, to leading the UX & UI design for the Moto Razr, our team is an essential part of what makes Motorola phones great.

This role is for our Sao Paulo studio. You’ll be joining a global design organization, with offices in Chicago, Brazil, and China.
You will be responsible for leading and actively participating in the concept, design, documentation, and development of user interfaces for our mobile products. Practically speaking, this means you’ll champion your designs through development using research, strategic understanding, your experience, and instinct. You’ll lead brainstorming and work sessions, usability and innovation reviews and other forms of design development. In addition to your primary responsibility in the delivery of great design, you will also be expected to mentor other designers, bringing your personal strengths to the rest of the team.
You must be intimate with Information Architecture, experience concept development, user-centered design methodologies, and design communication. Finally, you must be comfortable advocating for users-center design with stakeholders in a technology-focused company.
4-year degree in a design-related field
Minimum of 6 years of working design experience
Robust portfolio that demonstrates design capability
Experience designing digital interfaces
Demonstrated understanding of user-centered design and design process
Ability to design logical & intuitive digital interfaces
Familiarity with UX/UI design best practices
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Ability to visualize ideas and concepts in diverse ways
Exceptional communication skills (writing, listening, presenting)
Creative problem-solving skills including storyboarding and rapid ideation
Experience working directly with implementation teams as peer partners
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
Experience selling-in design concepts with business stakeholders
Experience facilitating design-thinking activities within teams
