This is a remote position.
Rocket.Chat is looking for a UX/UI Designer with proven experience in the area.
At least 4 years of experience.
Advanced English.
Strong experience in the software design industry.
Portfolio demonstrating work examples that you have created (experience shipping products is a plus).
Familiarity with conducting user research in the development of services or products, including: writing user research plans, conducting research activities and facilitating participatory workshops.
Ability to abstract things, taking a step back to see which design issues we really need to address and prioritize.
Deep analytical and information architecture skills.
Ability to document user experience and interaction through wireframes, flowcharts, design specifications, and prototype demos.
Cross platform. You’re comfortable designing products for both web and mobile and know how to translate features between the two.
Good understanding of Agile methodologies, especially with respect to UI/UX design.
Strong experience using Figma. If you’re not already familiar with it, you should be willing to learn it in a short period of time.
Strong problem solving, highly proactive, communication, and negotiation skills.
Produce end-to-end product design across the spectrum of user experience. Most of the time this means: user research, usability tests, user journeys, user tasks, wireframes and prototypes.
Help to create, maintain and document our design system as the product’s design evolves
Design solutions using the most appropriate design methods for any given task.
Produce designs of various fidelities depending on needs, from sketches to high fidelity prototypes.
Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, customers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, understand usability concerns and opportunities for improvement.
Work throughout product verticals to raise the standard of good design across the company.
