About the job:

Motorola Mobility is looking for a talented Visual Interface Designer to join our User Experience Design team at Motorola Mobility. The User Experience Design group is responsible for creating digital experiences for the Motorola smartphone product line. From building the camera app interface, to leading the UX & UI design for the Moto Razr, our team is an essential part of what makes Motorola phones great.

This role is for our Sao Paulo studio. You’ll be joining a global design organization, with offices in Chicago, Brazil, and China.

Visual Designer Responsibilities:

Create visually compelling app-based interfaces that leverage the Moto design system
Help develop and evolve the Moto visual design language
Contribute throughout the design process, from conception to production & delivery while meeting deadlines
Regularly present work and share feedback in internal design reviews with peers
Constructively represent the design group perspective in discussions with partners and stakeholders
Collaborate with other designers to ideate and refine high-quality deliverables
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (UX, project management, software development)
Document work and create design specs for design, product, and development teams
Ensure the quality and fidelity of the design by testing apps and communicating with development

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to produce highly-polished digital interfaces
Familiarity with visual design and visual communication best practices
Experience working within a design system and applying visual design language
Ability to work independently as well as within a team
Ability to visualize ideas and concepts in diverse ways (illustration, animation)
Exceptional communication skills (writing, listening, presenting)
Creative problem-solving skills including storyboarding and rapid visualization
Experience working directly with implementation teams as peer partners
Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch
Motion graphics experience
