Viral Marketing Specialist

Miniclip is looking for a Viral Marketing Specialist to hire in our Lisbon or London Studio. Are you a creative, innovative digital marketer with solid creative copywriting and content creating experience? Or are you a creative, innovative copywriter and content creator, with solid digital marketing experience? We’re looking for you! What will you do?

As a Viral Marketing Specialist you will have the exciting responsibility to produce and publish fun & engaging content for our portfolio of games based on creative and innovative strategies that you also help formulate. If you love everything about games, from playing and talking about games, to creating videos and memes about games, while engaging with communities to drive organic reach, this position may be for you.

We need someone who is comfortable both in social channels and sharing ideas in boardrooms, with good business experience, an understanding of the content economy, and, of course, a bit of a gaming habit. We need a someone who loves the idea of uncovering and developing a games brand and DNA, and can also help take this across to in-game promotions, social channels, into the wider marketing team functions, into product development teams, and work with agencies to drive forward the organic influence of our games on channels like YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and more!

You’ll be working on multiple games and brands, with many diverse projects. You’ll be working with loads of different teams across the business. Things will be challenging and exhilarating and you’re going to need to keep your wits about you. We work in a fast-paced world, we have a great portfolio with incredible communities and great content building opportunities. Will it be easy? No. Will it be fun? Also no. Responsibilities

Game DNA and narrative development;
Creating strategic viral marketing plans for selected titles;
Work closely with CRM, Paid Marketing and Go-To-Market teams to create unified marketing plans;
Perform market research regarding social and viral marketing for gaming;
Collaborate with product teams to incorporate viral marketing features;
Lead content development (social content, in-game, cross marketing channels, from taglines to manifestos to scripts + basic audio, video) for select titles;
Direct creative agencies to ensure quality outputs and manage the publication of the produced materials on social channels;
Report on results to show business impact in collaboration with Business Intelligence.

Excellent relationship management skills;
5+ years of experience producing digital marketing content for social channels, (games or not) agency or client side - preferred that some experience is as internal or agency creative copywriter;
Experience as a content creator, able to conceptualise ideas quickly and have a portfolio or examples of previous work;
Portfolio of copy - taglines to longer form, short sharp content to scripts and story telling/narrative building;
Good knowledge of marketing techniques;
Experience with social media management;
Familiarity with tracking tools and audience measurement tools.

Bonus points for

Solid know-how of content creation and photo manipulation tools such as Photoshop / After Effects, or similar;
Strong video editing skills for producing short video segments of gameplay, teasers, GIF’s, animated memes;
Understanding of games, game mechanics and game monetisation;
Knowledge of and experience with retention and monetisation marketing;
Past experience in global-based roles;
Project management experience;
Comfort with data and the insights it brings;
Experience in a game company of some sort.
